For wine events, here’s one that will ignite your palate — the 2015 Palm Beach Wine Auction. Taking place on Thurs., January 29, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., this annual gala and auction is one of the hottest tickets in town and has been named by locals and industry leaders as “the ultimate luxury experience for any food, wine or spirit lover willing to support a great educational cause.”
Now in its 8th year, the 2015 Palm Beach Wine Auction will take place at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, where nearly 200 guests will gather to bid on rare vintages, while sampling cuisine from some top named chefs. The price — $1000 per head, and it goes to benefit the Kravis Center Education Programs.
The items up for auction will include over 40 lots of fantastic wine and spirits from around the globe, including Louis XIII, who has been a longtime contributor to the Palm Beach Wine Auction.
On the menu, guests will enjoy a 5-course dinner from a roster of top-named chefs, including:

- Bogdan Boerean + Graham Randall, The Mar-a-Lago Club, Palm Beach
- Philip Bollhoefer, OMNI Asheville/Grove Park Inn
- Joshua Hasho, OMNI Denver/Interlocken Resort + Spa
- Douglas Katz, Fire Food + Drink, The Katz Club Diner and Provenance at Cleveland Museum of Art
- Trevor Kunk, PRESS, Napa Valley
- Joe Mercuri, Mercuri, Montreal
- Cameron Pishnery, Fine Food + Drink and The Katz Club Diner.
Prior to the auction, there will be a few pre-event activities (though they are by invitation only), including a White Truffle Dinner sponsored and hosted by Tiffany & Co., Palm Beach on Wed., Dec. 10th and a Sponsors Vintners’ Dinner, sponsored by First Republic Bank, held at Trevini Ristorante, Palm Beach on Wed., Jan. 28th — now, if I could just score myself a ticket to one of those.
