Say hello to the new Tanzy Restaurant in Mizner Park where celebrity chef Sherry Yard — Wolfgang Puck’s former pastry chef — creates her magic. The Emmy Awards, the Grammy Awards — she’s baked for the best, but now you can enjoy her sweet treats and more right in the heart of Boca Raton.
With her arrival, came updated menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner at the restaurant — and we’re thinking that the dinner menu will be our favorite (ok, so we cheated and tasted our way through almost the entire dinner menu earlier this month at a media tasting). Start off by ordering one of our favorites like the comforting Sicilian Skillet, Pork Belly and Spinach Salad, House Made Orecchiette Pasta with spiced turkey sausage and wilted Swiss Chard (this was our favorite of the night) or the Braised Angus Beef Short Ribs with toasted pearl barley – and you’ll be off to a good start — or check out the full menu on their website.
Add in a glass of wine or a creative cocktail from Master Mixologist, Adam Seger. He’s a big name in the industry too. The Academy Awards, Oprah — just a few places where he’s shined, perhaps that’s why he was dubbed ‘The Charlie Trotter of Cocktails’ by New City. We recommend the Tanzy Manhattan or the Raspberry Collins or the … it’s tough to choose, but everything that we’ve tried so far has been well-balanced and delicious.
Now, you’re all set so go ahead, gather your friends and make that reservation.
But wait, there’s one last thing.
Don’t even think about skipping dessert.
Because, well, that’s what Sherry is known for.
Tanzy Restaurant, located at 301 Plaza Real in Boca Raton, is open daily for lunch and dinner and serves a weekend brunch from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
