We’ve tasted our way through many flights of wine, sake and beer — and even a martini flight or two, but a rum flight? — There’s always a first. Soon enough, we’ll be able to experience this when Paladar Latin Kitchen and Rum Bar opens at the Village of Gulfstream in November.
This modern addition to Hallandale will offer creative Latin-fusion dishes in a vibrant environment. Paladar features a 3,000 square foot patio and 7,000 square foot interior, perfect for groups of any size — and their selection of rums (they have over 50) is unmatched.
Expect a mix of both traditional and imaginative Latin dishes, highlighting the flavors and ingredients from Central and South America, Cuba and the Caribbean. Highlights on the menu include guacamole and ceviche (prepared at the open guac bar); Plantain Crusted Crab Croquetas with sweet and crunchy mango jicama slaw; Spiced Coconut Milk Steamed Mussels; and “Ocha Hora” Braised Short Rib, braised for eight house and served with smoky grits, spinach and crispy onions. While the Hallandale location is yet to open, there are two other Paladar locations — in Cleveland and Annapolis — so you can take a look at the menu.
No meal is complete without an order from the bar and you are sure to enjoy their hand-muddled mojitos, specialty rum cocktails (or a rum flight), Caipirinhas, Margaritas or a selection from their beer or wine menu.
Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar will be located in The Village of Gulfstream, 501 S Federal Hwy, Hallandale Beach. The restaurant will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Brunch will be served on Sundays.
