We were invited to dine at Canvas at the Sagamore Hotel during Miami Spice Month. Fortunately, we arrived on Friday, when the Miami Beach all-suite hotel hosts The Art of Happy Hour and offers a guided tour of their in-house art gallery exhibition.
After viewing the playful paintings and sculptures, we ventured onto the outdoor dining terrace to enjoy the beautiful view of the pool with a glass of fruity and light Listel Rosé.
Another bonus, while typical Miami Spice menu’s offer three-courses for the set price of $39, Canvas is serving a four course dinner. Our first course started with spicy seafood appetizers -fried Thai Fish Tacos, with sriracha-mango sauce, and Shrimp-Avocado Sliders topped with grilled pineapples and jalapeno peppers.
Next, we noshed on Wild Mushroom Pizza, with Fontina cheese and drizzled with Truffle Oil, and an Ahi Tuna Crudo in basil-lemon vinaigrette.
For main entrees, we dined on flavorful grilled 8 oz. Wagyu Steak, with waffle fries, and Seared Salmon over a delicious arepa, -Venezuelan-style corn pockets filled with sun-dried tomato-pesto.
The Molten Browne Sundae, with mini marshmallows and Amoretti cherries, and a creamy Nonna-style Tiramisu, beautifully decorated with edible flowers, were the desserts chosen to complete our meal.
