Ciao Cucina & Bar Restaurant Review
Ciao Cucina & Bar, a hip and colorful Italian gastropub located in The Promenade at Coconut Creek, is a dining treat, whether after a day of shopping at the plaza or before your movie date at the Silverspot Cinema.
We came for dinner, by invitation, at Ciao Cucina & Bar, and straight away agreed to share one of the varieties of hand-crafted, Neapolitan-style pizzas on the menu. We eventually decided on the innovative, and delectable, Morning Sunshine pie.
This unique cheese pizza uses rich, creamy, nutty gruyere paired with Benton’s salty and smoky Hickory Smoked Country Bacon and sweet and tangy caramelized leeks, and sprinkled with arugula.
As an individual dinner dish, my companion went with the Linguini ai Frutti di Mare featuring fresh house-made pasta in a white wine and sweet vine-ripened tomato sauce crowned with peeled jumbo shrimp and clams in the shells.
I settled on the Wild Mushroom Filet Mignon, the juicy cut was topped with a Marsala wine and Portobello and Cremini mushroom reduction. The hearty meal was plated with side of perfectly charred grilled wild asparagus and lovely Fingerling potatoes lightly coated with olive oil.
TIP: Ciao Cucina & Bar is participating in Dine Out Lauderdale, a program where select Broward County restaurants are offering three-course prix fixe dinner menus for $36 until September 30.
