If you’re a happy hour fanatic and love Italian food, you’re going to want to take note of Dolce Italian’s new happy hour, Eight Until Eight. Available seven days a week from 4-8 pm, guests can choose between 8 signature cocktails and 8 appetizers — all priced at $8. There’s even a few wine and beer specials mixed in.
Head mixologist, Julio Cabrera has created a spectacular cocktail menu, with 8 of them being featured during Eight Until Eight. The specials include handcrafted cocktails like the La Pera – a combination of Belle de Brillet pear cognac, fresh lemon and prosecco; a Classic Vesper, made with Absolut Elux, Lillet blanc and Beefeater gin, along with two Dolce classics, the Artichoke Sour and a Barrel Aged Negroni and a standout, the Apple Basil Splash with Zu vodka, elderflower, basil, green apple and lime; and more. Select Italian wines will be available for $8 a glass or $25 a bottle, including a prosecco, pinot grigio and rose; and Peroni and Modelo Especial drafts are priced at $4.
Drinking well shouldn’t stand alone, so Dolce also offers some sumptuous treats from the kitchen, all for $8. Think — pizzas from their wood-burning oven; classic Fritto Misto; Prosciutto + Fettunta; Prosciutto di Parma and Garlic Crostini; Tuna Tartar; Gnocchi al Pomodoro; and Dolce’s famous Dolce Meatballs, served with creamy polenta and parmigiano.
If you haven’t been in to Dolce Italian yet, you might want to swing by soon, as the restaurant has been selected to participate in Chef Gordan Ramsay’s “Best New Restaurant” on Bravo, which is scheduled to begin in January 2015. And well, that could change things around.
Dolce Italian is located at the Gale South Beach at 1690 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach; (786) 975-2550. The restaurant is open for dinner 7 days a week, starting at 6 pm and valet parking is available.
