One night down and one to go at the annual Tastemakers of Delray Beach. This food and drink extravaganza takes you on a tour of the restaurants of the downtown area — and a portion of the sales goes to benefit the Delray Beach Shore Beautification Project. While we enjoyed our journey last night, there’s still time to attend the 2nd day of the event — and you can buy your tickets (your passport) at any of the participating restaurants and enjoy Tastemakers tonight — August 8, 2014 — from 5-10 p.m.
Cost for the event is $30 (cash only) and you can purchase your tickets at any of the participating venues. You’ll receive a booklet, giving you a map of the area, a list of the participating restaurants and what they are serving — and discount offers to use from now until September 30, 2014.
These discount savings include a buy 1 get 1 free lunch offer at 50 Ocean (their fish tacos were one of our favorites of the evening); 50% off bottles of wine (Monday-Thursday) with the purchase of 2 entrees at Deck 84; a free order of guacamole at El Camino with the purchase of an entree; and many more.
As we strolled down the Avenue, we enjoyed some tried and true favorites, like the Rigatoni Bolognese from Vic & Angelo’s and the Anticuchos (marinated skirt steak skewers) from Cabana and made some new discoveries like the Orange & Basil Mussels from Mussel Beach.
Always a fun night out, Tastemakers gives you a chance to discover and rediscover the culinary gems in downtown Delray Beach.
So if you’re free tonight, head on down to Delray Beach and purchase your tickets before the event is sold out. The fun starts at 5:00 p.m.
