After another fantastic night out learning about oysters at The Oceanaire Seafood Room, I think it’s become our go-to destination to fulfill that oyster craving — and with Oceanaire, we can do it in style. They certainly know how to welcome our group in and that made for an incredible evening.
Guests arrived and were treated to a glass of Prosecco and anxiously awaited the tasting. During this tasting, they received an added bonus, the team from Blue Island Oyster Company (yes, the farmers themselves) were there to walk us through the tasting. Through this informative and humorous presentation, guests explored the world of oysters from the Naked Cowboy to Shibumi Oysters through stories, photographs, fun facts and slurping down 6 varieties of this fabulous aphrodisiac — and don’t forget the Prosecco.
The night ended with some treats from Chef Kareem — and some more oysters. It was a lovely evening and we look forward to planning a similar event soon.
