A Look at Taste of the Nation South Florida

Food and wine enthusiasts gathered round to attend this year’s Taste of the Nation South Florida at Loew’s Miami Beach. This event, now in it’s 27th year, was led by acclaimed chef Allen Susser and the much-loved Timon Balloo of Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill, who brought together the best in the area to help raise money for Share our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign, which helps to fight childhood hunger.

Attendees were treated to tastings from some of the top chefs in the area — including the soon to open Beaker & Grey and Izzy’s Fish & Oyster —  wine and cocktails.  They even had a chance to win some fantastic prizes from the wine grab (yes, a lucky winner even went home with a bottle of Opus One) — and during the event’s live and silent auction.

When guests weren’t indulging on their favorite finds, they were able to mingle with some of the top names in the industry — and meet fellow food and wine enthusiasts. For those lucky enough to score a VIP ticket, the party continued late into the night at Lure Fishbar.
