I crave Asian food just about every day of the week, so I was thrilled to hear about the latest addition to Midtown — Machiya Ramen Noodle House located on the ground floor of Mid Block East inside Shops at Midtown Miami. The focus is Japanese comfort food and it’s housed inside a 4,100 square foot space that includes indoor and outdoor space, an open cooking station and a U-shaped bar in the center. Highlights include Steamed Rock Shrimp Buns with spicy aioli; Japanese Custard Chicken with Snow Crab and Black Truffle; Kim Chee Pork Belly with Crispy Shallots; and six types of ramen dishes. Since we’re big fans of Happy Hours, we were glad to hear that they’ll be offering Happy Hour from 4-7 pm with daily specials. While we have yet to sample their menu, we’ll be reporting back soon.
