What’s better than food and wine? Enjoying it for a cause. That’s what the Annual Bank of America Wine, Spirits & Culinary Celebration is all about.
This annual food and wine extravaganza brings together the area’s tastemakers for an evening of indulgence all to support the Museum of Discovery & Science. It was buzzing from the moment we walked in.
I started the night off with a glass of Justin Cabernet — and we drank it with the sharks. That’s an added benefit you get when attending a food and wine event housed inside the museum. The Paso Robles gem boasts aromas of dark fruit and a hint of spice. It set the stage for the culinary delights to come.
Tacos were quite the popular dish at the event and we enjoyed them in a variety of ways, but the tuna was a standout in my mind. Other popular dishes included sushi from PubBelly, sweet potato toasts from Bill Hansen Catering and mini indulgences from Seasons 52.
While the food items were a treat for the palate, let’s not forget about the outstanding adult beverages that were being served. Duckhorn, Miravel Rosé, Justin, Belle Glos, Patron el Alto and Conniption Gin were just a few of our favorites. All of which we were able to savor as we walked through the 2 floors of the event.
The Annual Wine & Culinary Celebration wasn’t just a feast for the senses, it was all done to support a good cause. Additional money was raised via a silent auction and 1 lucky winner went home with a Lexus.
Here’s to raising a glass (or two or three!) to future celebrations — all in support of the museum.
